The United States Professional & Amateur Hickory Golf Championships

Temple Terrace's challenging 18 holes were designed by Tom Bendelow in 1922. This parkland styled golf course is always in great shape. Numerous live oak, as well as long-leaf and slash pine trees add to the beauty and challenge of the layout.
The Format
The Championships will consist of an 18 hole medal competition open to male & female golf professionals and amateurs. Hickory sets are supplied by the USPHGC to players without sets of their own. Prize fund will be based on the number of entries.
Practice Session
Participants can receive their clubs the day before or the morning of the tournament and practice. Practice round can be arranged with the golf course.
The Rules, Equipment and Dress Code
USGA rules will govern play.
ANTIQUE HICKORY SHAFTED CLUBS: This category is for original equipment whose club heads were made prior to 1930.
MODERN REPRODUCTION HICKORY SHAFTED CLUBS: This category is for equipment made to replicate, as nearly as possible, clubs that were made prior to 1930.
DRESS CODE: No formal dress code will be required, however if you want to get in the spirit of the day, the following is recommended. Men - Long sleeve shirt and tie, slacks, plus 2's or plus 4's. No shorts or short sleeve shirts allowed. Ladies - Knee length skirts or plus 2's or 4's. Long sleeve blouses.
The Championship Committee will be the sole judge as to permitted clubs and their decision will be final.
